Pinder is looking like a decent Fantasy option — especially in DFS play (against lefties) while his salary is low. He’s hit safely in five straight games, and the first four of those were all multi-hit efforts. Pinder is showing some impressive power, doubling in three straight and homering three times so far this season, helping making up for a lack of speed. He doesn’t walk, but he’s not striking out, either, and best of all, he’s finally showing he can hit righties a bit better (.269). Pinder may still be a utility player, bouncing around the field, but he’s getting lots of chances to start this year and the way he’s playing he could cement his role early on.

Robinson is putting an exclamation mark on a fire rookie season, scoring in double figures in each of the last four games, recording two double-doubles and just missing another pair. On Sunday, he played a career high 38 minutes while putting up multiple blocks for the 28th straight game. Robinson is averaging a double-double with 2.8 blocks and 1.1 steals over the last 10 games. Although we identified him early in the season, it really took until February for him to start consistently seeing enough minutes to become a Fantasy staple, but he’s been a real asset since the All-Star Game, getting to the line more often and doing a way better job on the glass.

Vegas gave some of its younger players a chance to shine this season, and none of them excelled like Tuch did. Although he cooled a bit in the second half, from November through the end of January he was fantastic, scoring 14 goals with 23 assists for 37 points over a 35-game span. If you took our advice in Week Four and rode Tuch over that stretch, kudos to you. For the season, he reached 20 goals for the first time, becoming a key man on the Knights’ third line. Man, the Wild must be kicking itself for losing such a big, talented kid like this.

Continuing our theme of young hurlers that really impressed in their first starts of the season, how about Fried? All he did was limit the Cubs to one measly hit over six innings while fanning five without a walk on Thursday. That outing earned Fried a repeat engagement in the Braves’ rotation, although given that it’ll be in Colorado, you may not want him active. He made a few starts for Atlanta last year, but mostly pitched out of the bullpen, and after a couple of relief outings to begin this season, he sure looked like he wanted to stick as a starter. If Fried can be anywhere near as phenomenal going forward, he could wind up being a real steal.

Among the most popular — and certainly oldest — players in the league, Chara continues to prove Fantasy worthy despite having just turned 42. He has a goal and two assists over the last three games, and since March 14, he’s tied for the league lead at +10. In fact, after a slow start, Chara went +9 in February and is +11 so far in March. He’s only scored five goals — his fewest since 2000-01, but continues to be a real asset in +/- and he still has that amazing reach that makes him such an effective shutdown defender. Small wonder the Bruins gave just Chara a one-year extension.

This season, we’ve slipped to 41 returnees from our 2018 rankings (two fewer than last year), and the number of players graduating to the bigs from last year’s Top 85 prospects also dipped a tad (down two to 22). A whopping nine more prospects (22) fell off the list this year, suggesting that as we expand the list, the chances of swinging and missing increases.
