Joc Pederson will make the Dodgers outfield situation even muddier. (Michael Murphy)

RotoRob Fantasy Baseball Weekly Podcast, heard every Thursday at 9 p.m. EST on Blogtalkradio, was rocking and rolling this week as RotoRob’s guest was RotoRob.com writer Michael Seff, making his debut on the MLB Podcast after a couple of appearances on the NFL Podcast.

Among the topics we covered were:

  • Welcome wishes to our new NBA writer, J.R. Anderson.
  • We were bang on with our preseason assessment of Andre Ethier.
  • The Dodgers avoided a big decision when Carl Crawford went on the DL.
  • Michael speculates that Yordano Ventura could come back after Tommy John surgery (assuming he’s heading there soon) throwing even harder.
  • Edwin Encarnacion has completely exploded lately. Please pee into this cup, sir.
  • Paul Maholm started brilliantly last year before crashing and burning; is Mark Buehrle going to follow that model?
  • Nelson Cruz clearly deserves to be an All-Star this season.
  • Texas’ bullpen enjoyed an efficient night.
  • Things continue to get dicey in the late innings for the Tigers.
  • Josh Willingham had a productive day, but also looked at a called third strike to end the game.
  • Jose Bautista has been reduced to second banana in Toronto.
