NBA Daily Dose: That’s Amare

Amare Stoudemire is back to his high-flying ways, scoring 42 and crashing the rim for seven dunks Monday.
Remember how worried most owners were back in training camp when Amare Stoudemire was growing frustrated in his ability to bounce back from microfracture surgery and complaining about pain in both knees? Well, clearly those concerns were unfounded and STAT has laid any doubts to rest as evidenced by last night’s 42-point, seven-dunk explosion, his first post-surgery 40-point game. The best part is, he sounds like he can still get better. We check in on Amare’s progress in today’s Daily Dose.
Jeff Foster threw up a stinker Monday; Richard Jefferson must be hurting again; Andrei Kirilenko forget his A game yesterday; and Troy Murphy got a rare start, perhaps the prelude to a deal.
We’ve got all of this, plus enough fantasy basketball factoids to cause a wardrobe malfunction and resulting Janet Jackson nipple appearance in the Daily Dose.
