Offseason Lowdown: Jays Lock Up Their Man

December 21, 2006 | By RotoRob | comment on this post

Vernon_Wells.jpgThe Jays sure changed their tune quick when it came to Vernon Wells. It looked like Wells would certainly be traded after GM J.P. Ricciardi claimed that Toronto wouldn’t be able to handle a “Beltran-type deal.” So imagine our surprise when the Jays wound up giving Wells even more than Beltran got. In this week’s Offseason Lowdown, we examine the situation closer.

The Royals re-signed Brandon Duckworth to a minor league deal less than a week after non-tendering him. I guess he couldn’t find a better deal.

We cover these stories and several other fantasy baseball topics in this week’s Offseason Lowdown.
