Video Game Review: Salt & Sanctuary

Shipwrecked on a strange island, your customized character must find a way to confront the unseen forces that hold dominion over the island to grant your freedom (or perhaps something else). There aren’t a lot of story elements at play in Salt & Sanctuary, and the game is primarily about fighting, exploration and collecting loot — it’s one part 2D brawler, one part RPG.

Video Game Review: Vampyr

Set in a sickness-ridden London in the aftermath of World War I, Vampyr casts you as Dr. Reid, who earned a reputation during WWI for his work (conveniently enough) with blood transfusions. He awakes in a grave, reborn as a vampire, and immediately kills his sister in a fit of blood lust. In the aftermath of that incident, Reid vows to track down the one that turned him and make them answer for it.
