The Wire Troll: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist’s Miraculous Return

You have to appreciate the discovery of stat sheet stuffers like Galloway, because it really comes in handy in Fantasy league formats. He did just that in not just one, not two, but in his last three games. Galloway’s most efficient performance came Thursday against the Thunder — resulting in 23 points, seven boards, five assists, three steals and an assist.

The Wire Troll: Sam Bennett Feeds Flames

By allowing fans to decide the All-Star roster, this is the bed the league made for itself. In MLB, NFL and, we’re assuming, the NBA, the status of “All-Star” means something. It speaks to the incredible talent and accomplishments of the person receiving the honour. In the NHL, the toughest and most complex of the four major sports leagues, it has become nothing more than a joke, and is losing fan interest rapidly.

The Wire Troll: Derrick Williams Seeks Redemption in New York

Allen has been providing some serious “juice” in Memphis recently (take in what we did there), with his most notable performance being a double-double (10 points, 15 rebounds, two steals and a block) against the Celtics Sunday. It’s not clear how long he’ll posing in front of the Grizzlies’ injured backcourt, but based on his recent production; he’s worth taking advantage of – especially for those steals (14 over the five game stretch). Go drink some Allen’s juice now.

The Wire Troll: Amir Johnson Powers Forward in Boston

Belinelli has scored at least 11 points, canned tons of treys and pitched in with some steals in his last six games — and played 43 minutes in a Tuesday’s double-OT loss to the Mavericks. Obviously, the extra 10 minutes of game time led to the season-high in minutes, but the fact is Belinelli is seeing extra time given a number of Sacramento injuries. He’s worth owning in deeper leagues, and if he could just up his three-point production and keep gloving steals, his minutes and Fantasy value will go up.

The Wire Troll: Shane Doan Leading the Pack in Arizona

Doan isn’t the only one breaking out (no, that’s not an acne reference given the club’s youth) recently in the desert. Stone had a career week with a goal, four points, four penalty minutes, seven shots on goal, 10 hits and 13 blocked shots. He has three goals, 16 points, a minus-6 rating and 30 penalty minutes this season.

The Wire Troll: J.J. Barea Torches It up in Dallas

Barea is 31 now, people, but you wouldn’t know that looking at his recent stats (no offense to the vets still going strong at the 30 year mark). He made his way into the starting lineup and has been torching since — especially beyond the arc (five treys on Wednesday). It’s hard to find a solid point guard who’s also a three-point shooting gem that’s available on the wire this deep into the season, so Barea needs to be picked up now without a doubt.
