Fantasy Notes: C-Webb Revival?
‘
- With Allen Iverson on his way out of Philly, could Chris Webber be worth a bit more for the time being? At least, that is, until Philly tries to dump his sorry ass as well? With Iverson barred from the building, C-Webb came through last night with a season-best 21 points and 10 boards. He finally shot well (9-of-18) and filled the stat sheet with five assists, two steals and a block. Philly would love to get rid of Webber, making $20.7 million this year and on the hook for another $22.3 million next season, but to do so, they may need to include Andre Iguodala or Samuel Dalembert. Webber has been simply horrific this year, with numbers down across the board. When he’s been healthy, he’s been sitting plenty in the fourth quarter, thus just the 30 MPG average and his shooting has been unbelievably bad (38.5 per cent). Webber’s days as a double-double threat are done, as he’s averaging just 8.5 boards per game. If you own him, hope he gets hot this week and then try to get whatever you can for him in a deal.
