Blu-ray Review: Breaking In

Union is the best part of the film, and she does enough within its limited scope to show that she deserves to work more often and in larger roles (if she so desires). Blu-ray Review: Ready Player One

Obviously there’s only so much you can cram into a film, but Cline’s world is cleverly constructed, as is Spielberg’s vision of it. There’s a unique look to everything within the OASIS, and even with all the ’80s reference from the book that had to be left out for obvious reasons there’s still loads of nostalgic cameos sprinkled throughout the film. The set pieces, in particular The Shining’s Overlook Hotel, are really well done.

Blu-ray Review: Rampage

It’s hard to say if Rampage would work even half as well as it does without The Rock, who does a good job of not taking things too seriously. Blu-ray Review: A Quiet Place

By leaving so much unsaid and unexplained, it allows the audience to fill in the gaps (at least for the time being) and speculate on little nuggets here and there. The origins of the creatures is certainly at the top of the list, and the creature design crew deserves some props. There’s initially a “less is more” approach to showing it, but even when we do see it more clearly it maintains a real creepiness.
