While we wouldn’t suggest you go run out and grab Jarnkrok now, he does have interesting potential given the offense he flashed in the minors and the fact he drafted relatively high. It’s possible that he starts heating up in Fisher’s absence.

In the seven games Price was injured earlier in the season, Condon posted three wins and played well. With Price out again, Condon will get more starts for the hot Canadiens and should provide good value. The Habs aren’t afraid to use Condon a lot as evidenced by the fact that they started him in seven straight games.

If we had to pick, we think Hutchinson has the upper hand and will get more starts than Hellebuyck in the first few games. Hutchinson is more proven and has played in the NHL before. However, we would not be surprised if Hellebuyck has a few great games and takes over the starting job until Pavelec returns. Hellebuyck has put up fantastic numbers in the minors and has a lot of potential.
