He’s most likely the next man up, but the Reds don’t need a fifth starter again for another week and a half, so it’s not immediately clear how this will play out (he tossed one inning of relief on Friday). In making five starts vs. 10 relief appearances this season, Martinez has delivered top 175 value, only enduring one poor outing since the end of April. He doesn’t have the most efficient delivery and hasn’t been as good as he was in San Diego in some ways, yet his WHIP and command have never looked better, so don’t sleep on him as a streaming option.

Taken 37th overall last season, he enjoyed a strong debut between Rookie ball and Class-A, but has taken it to a new level this year, scoring nearly a run per game while batting .340 and slugging .505. McGonigle should get bumped up to High-A soon, and needs to be on your dynasty league radar.

Bleday’s fielding hasn’t been as good this season, but there remains upside in his bat. Coming out of college, he was considered to be an advanced hitter, so perhaps he’s just a late bloomer; recall that just six years ago, Bleday was considered the top prospect in the Cape Cod League.

He’s currently rehabbing a knee injury, and bears watching as he was quite productive in his first game. Andujar has gotten more disciplined, not swinging at offerings out of the strike zone as often the last couple of years, so he could provide some sneaky AL-only value when he returns to the bigs.

And, no, it was not worth the wait, despite improved control. This year, however, Lively looks like a completely different pitcher, notwithstanding a rough outing Thursday. Overall, he’s fared quite well over his first five starts for the Tribe thanks to a sinker that’s never performed better. In fact, other than his slider, Lively is seeing better results will all his offerings, even getting positive value out of his changeup and cutter for the first time in his career. We’re not 100 per cent sold on the sustainability of his results, but you may as well add him while he’s getting it done.
