Prescott had looked very sharp for the last couple of weeks before a substandard effort on Thursday in which he was picked twice as part of his first three-turnover games of the season. That’s a growing concern as he’s now tossed 14 picks in just 11 games this year (including at least one in six straight contests) after only surrendering 10 in 16 games in 2021.

In fact, his nine points in nine games heading into Friday’s action ranked him atop the Hurricane leaderboard over this stretch — not too bad for a recently turned 34-year-old. Staal has seen more PT as the season has progressed and he’s rewarded the ‘Canes’ faith with production. While the veteran is playing well, he needs to be owned. Staal is never going to score a ton of goals, but remains a useful Fantasy option for now.

The pick offered mixed results as he was solid that month, barely played in February and missed March entirely, but really picked it up over the final two months of the season. Now in Minny, Rivers had been lighting it up all week until a very quiet game on Friday, although he’s still getting way more touches this month. The former Blue Devil has really shaken off a slow start to the season, perhaps caused by a hip woe suffered in late October.

Over three years later, the now 41-year-old netminder is in Buffalo, yet is still seeing quite a bit of time between the pipes. And why not? Anderson shut out the Kings on Tuesday (his first goose egg since 2018-19) and now has a sub-2.00 GAA in two of the first three months of the season. Want further proof that he’s enjoying a renaissance? Only six goalies that have played 10 games or more so far have better save percentages than Anderson’s .921 mark. He’s actually forcing his way into a bigger role, but the Sabres are being careful about his workload, so don’t expect him to play much more than he currently is.

He justified the pick with big minutes in the season’s final month. Unfortunately, it’s been pretty much downhill for Holiday since, but he’s got a chance to reestablish some value right now, so he bears watching. Sure, he’s generally only about a top 65 point guard usually, but while he’s starting he’s worth considering. Remember that when Holiday came out of UCLA, he was considered small, but was also seen as a good defender with strength and quickness.

Paul has quietly been filling the net for the Lightning, on Thursday enjoying his second multi-goal game over the last five (5-2-7, with a pair of power play markers). He averaged nearly a point per game last month, so this hasn’t exactly come out of nowhere, and with a +15 mark, he’s well on his way to topping last season’s career-best effort. Paul will be a popular waiver wire pickup this week, so grab him quick.
