Fantasy Notes: Sizemore — Future MVP?
- Is it just me or is Grady Sizemore quietly becoming one of the best all-around players in baseball? Power, speed, batting average, tremendous defense. While Travis Hafner gets all the headlines for his tape-measure home runs, Sizemore has flown under radar to a league-leading 99 runs while also ranking in the top 10 in steals. He has already set new career standards with 41 doubles and 59 walks, and how about a lead-off hitter that slugs .520? Hell, he’s even got a bit of an ironman thing going (remarkable considering how hard he plays), having appeared in every game this year and almost 160 straight dating back to last season. Having just turned 24 earlier this month, Sizemore has a very bright future that could easily include an MVP award down the road.
