This week, Browns rookie RB Quinshon Judkins was arrested for a domestic violence and battery charge; DT Ndamukong Suh, the No. 2 overall pick in 2010, has announced his retirement; and the NFL world suffered another loss as three-time Pro Bowl LT Luis Sharpe passed away at age 65. Other Fantasy football stories we’re following include…
Bijan Robinson Should Be the Top Fantasy RB
After bottoming out with just four wins in 2020, the Atlanta Falcons rhymed off three straight seven-victory campaigns before finally breaking that trend with eight last year. Can Atlanta take that a step further this year and enjoy its first winning season since 2017?
One thing that will help the Falcons get there is the expected breakout from third-year running back Bijan Robinson, who took a huge step as a sophomore (especially in a dominant second half), but could emerge as the best running back in Fantasy football in 2025 – one you should consider drafting ahead of even Saquon Barkley.
Of course when Robinson was a rookie, we thought that he’d be the player that could help deliver a winning season for Atlanta, but we’re still waiting.
Still, now that Michael Penix Jr. will replace Kirk Cousins as the starting quarterback, Robinson won’t be hampered by a turnover riddled offense and should truly be set free to enjoy a career year. Expect Robinson to post 1,500 yards on the ground and finish the season as the RB1.
He’s already a top 10 asset in dynasty leagues and should be taken within the top five in redraft leagues. Further, Atlanta’s offense is among the more interesting units in 2025 considering it averaged 22.9 points last year and has tremendous upside potential.
With Robinson — one of the top young players in the league — being at the epicentre of this dynamic unit, who is going to blame you for making him the first RB off the board, even within the top three picks?
In his rookie season, he was limited by OC Arthur Smith, and while the running back fared much better under Zac Robinson last year, in 2025 he’ll become unshackled from Cousins as well, so look out!
Bijan Robinson has the type of thick, muscular frame that will fill the endzone, so assuming Atlanta’s offense takes the next step, he could flirt with 20 touchdowns.
Will the Rams Have Too Many Weapons?
In 2022, the Los Angeles Rams sure suffered from the dreaded Super Bowl champion hangover as they managed just five wins. They’ve bounced back since, earning 10 victories in each of the last two seasons, although they have failed to advance beyond the Divisional Round.
In 2025, they are a good bet to make it that far again (currently +145 to get to the Divisional Round as per FanDuel), but can they make it past?
One of the biggest questions for the Rams heading into this season is how the offense will fare now that longtime No. 1 receiver Cooper Kupp signed with Seattle as a free agent. Who benefits with him bolting?
The key holdover in the wide receiver room is Puka Nacua, who last year had trouble staying healthy and not getting tossed out of games, so was unable to duplicate his historic rookie effort. We still consider him a top six WR and someone you should target towards the end of the first round.
Nacua’s new partner is Davante Adams, who signed a two-year, $44-million deal to join L.A. Adams split last season between Las Vegas and the Jets, and thanks to missing a few games, he had his first sub-100 reception season since 2019 (when he only suited up for a dozen games). It’s not wise to expect him to dominate like he did in his Packer glory years, but he’s still a very strong WR2.
Still, there could be upheaval in the entire WR corps if the Rams sign free agent Amari Cooper as some predict.
Throw in Tutu Atwell, TE Tyler Higbee, rookie TE Terrance Ferguson (who could supplant Higbee as the starter before long) and RB Kyren Williams and you’re dealing with a boatload of potential weapons for the Rams. Will the team be able to feed them all, from a Fantasy relevance standpoint?
Keep an eye on what Los Angeles does between now and the start of the season and be ready to adjust your rankings as necessary.
