Well, he’s been generally healthier this year, and has looked very good as a reliever, while proving respectable (if inconsistent) as a starter. But with dramatically improved hit rates this month, Crawford is heading in the right direction, and he’s managed a better record this season. Ironically, Kutter’s cutter has been his worst pitch, but every other offering has been solid as he’s established himself as a useful streaming option.

Well, since being recalled last month, Ford has delivered, spanking a two-run shot Thursday to reach double digits in dingers for the first time since his rookie season, and following it up with a pinch-hit RBI single on Friday. He’s batting .333 in July, which is unlikely to continue, but deserves your attention for now. Pitchers are throwing strikes to Ford more often this year, and so far he’s responded, so give him consideration in AL-only formats.

Tyler Soderstrom has been promoted to the bigs with the Oakland Athletics.

He’s piled up the runs and extra-base knocks while showing slightly better plate discipline than what he exhibited in his first taste of Triple-A last season. Soderstrom projects to offer elite raw and game power in time, but isn’t much of a runner. Given the exit velocities he’s been delivering for a couple of years, there’s very little doubt his bat is ready for the bigs, so grab him now.

Dominic Fletcher just keeps hitting for the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The 14th-ranked prospect in the D-Back system as per MLB, Fletcher is very small for an outfielder, but has an extremely good arm and is a strong fielder. While his offensive potential isn’t nearly as promising, it’s hard to argue with what he’s shown so far this season. Even if Fletcher’s ultimate ceiling is just a fourth outfielder in the bigs, he’s worth a short-term addition right now.
