This marks the second straight season the Cubbies have made it to the postseason, last year bowing out in four straight in the NLCS to the Mets. Can Chicago get back to the NLCS and this time figure out how to earn a win or two — or maybe even make it to the World Series — for the first time since 1945?

Daily Dump: Jeff Locke

In his last start, Locke was handed a four-lead in the first inning against a weak Atlanta squad. The final score? Braves 8, Pirates 4. He was molested by what’s little more than a Triple-A club for nine hits, two walks and five earned runs over 4 1/3 innings, thereby sealing his doom.
