Mirage is a beautiful map set in a sandstorm-blown town somewhere in Asia. Players can take up sniper positions in hotel windows and sand dunes, while the runners are able to use piles of sand as makeshift stairs to access higher levels of structures. Several of the buildings are multi-tiered, so vertical engagements happen quite frequently, meaning you’ll have to watch above you as well as right and left. Visually it feels like the most work was put into this map, with the focus being a hotel lobby flooded with sand surrounding a giant statue of a samurai-type figure. The map is really bright, and the sand often resembles banks of snow, but we’ve got actual banks of snow in another map.

In addition to Blade Mode, Raiden can parry attacks simply by pointing the left analog in the direction of the attack while tapping the light attack button. This will effectively stun most enemies, opening them up to quick strikes which can then lead to Blade Mode awesomeness. You can actually play the entire game without executing a single parry but it adds a lot to both the flow of combat and the visual flair, so it’s a skill worth learning.

The Twins have done a great job of developing outfielders over the years, and Hicks is poised to continue that tradition. He’s athletic, but his less than inspired performance in the Venezuela Winter League suggests that some seasoning at Triple-A might be in order. Still, Hicks’ huge 2012 campaign has definitely helped shoot him up this list after entering last season as barely a top 75 prospect. The 23-year-old, taken 14th overall in 2008, is an extremely patient hitter, but he’ll need to improve his contact skills if he’s going to stick as a top of the order threat. We love the step forward this switchhitter took at the plate last year as his developing power put him on the map as a legitimate five-tool prospect. Hicks’ walk rates have always been top notch, but last year he showed tremendous progress in his basestealing success rate.

It is hard to believe, but Franson is suddenly on fire. Eight points in 11 games has gotten him noticed and for Karlsson owners, Franson is at least worth somewhat of a look. His ownership values are around 15-to-20 per cent and some have not quite received the memo yet. Therefore, you may want to strike before it’s too late. To entice you further, Franson’s ATOI is steadily rising as well which is another reason to at least give him a shot. What is the worst that could possibly happen? Right? Right!

Bradley got enough PT in January to be useful, and although he’s not shooting as well so far in February, as the starting PG, his minutes are up even more. He’s getting more touches recently and overall has become a bigger part of the Boston offense this season. Bradley, who is headed to Puerto Rico for the break, is widely available, but we predict he’ll be a very popular pickup in the coming weeks.

Denorfia, originally a 19th rounder in 2002 by Cincinnati, saw more action than ever before last year and he responded with decent numbers across the board. As usual, hee provided a bit of speed and improved his success rate to the point where he’s actually helping instead of hurting his team on the basepaths.
