There was no reason to mess with Halo’s controls, and the only notable difference between what you’ll find here versus Halo 3 is the addition of armour abilities (introduced in Halo: Reach). Gunplay is tight as a drum, allowing for precision aiming whether zoomed or firing from the hip. Vehicles handle exactly how you remember from the cumbersome Scorpion to the fishtailing Warthog — speaking of which, the game seems to assume you’ve played before as there were no instructions (at least on higher difficulty settings).

Now the question is whether Texas can bounce back and restore its AL supremacy. Reigning AL champion Detroit has already improved itself with the addition of Torii Hunter and Toronto has to move up a few rungs with the infusion of talent it landed in Miami’s most recent fire sale.

However, he started flashing a little something-something last week, but inconsistencies are to be expected from such a young player (19). Still, we love the amount of touches he’s getting lately and once he starts finding his range, the scoring potential here is tremendous. Beal will be frustrating to own while he figures it out, but we’re convinced he’ll be a serious force by season’s end.

We were back with another episode of RotoRob’s Fantasy Baseball Weekly Podcast (heard every Thursday at 9 p.m. on Blogtalkradio) and while Tim’s “smart” phone proved otherwise, thereby causing him to be late, everything else went smoothly, even if somewhat tamely.

So what happens? Desmond experiences a major breakthrough and winds up as the only regular shortstop in the majors to slug at least .500. He still can’t draw a walk, but that didn’t stop him from finally hitting for average (over .290). Oh, and as expected, Desmond topped 20 steals.
