The Wire Troll: Brandon Rush Now Starting

Thursday, he played a whopping 40 minutes and nailed three three-pointers with three assists and four boards as part of a 12-point game. Rush flashed potential with the Pacers, but now that he’s on the free-wheeling Warriors, he’s got a real chance to shine – at least for the time being. Some reports suggest that Curry may be back as soon as Sunday, but that sounds ridiculously optimistic. Expect Rush to hold this gig for the next week at least, after which he will resume his role as the sixth man, where he may still hold value in deeper leagues.

NBA Today: Elton Brand Finally Shows Up

Brand, who also threw up three blocks, has not been pulling down as many boards so far this season, so it was definitely nice to see a double-digit effort. Philly has a balanced scoring attack, so I expect his points to fluctuate from night to night, but a consistent rebounding effort would go a long way towards getting those unforgiving Philly fans off his back. The good news is that he reportedly seemed very relaxed on Tuesday.
